Textbook is a non-fiction love story for the digital age. An unedited, raw account of two lovers’ bittersweet relationship, told entirely through their texts to each other. Whilst living 11,000 miles apart at opposite ends of the world, Penny and Andy couldn’t be together. But, in the face of adversity, this is a story about how technology can change our destinies and shape every part of our lives. Including our love lives.
The txt-bk.com website allows users to read all of Penny and Andy’s 5,191 texts. Users can read the story online, download it or set up an app on their smartphone. We have also developed software to enable users to take their WhatsApp conversations and create their own Textbook.
The print is a promotional mailer for journalists. An entire book of the texts would run to over 1000 pages.
